New Youth Club Development Plan including Funding of $2,500

 

Phase I - $500

 

  1. Initial conference call with all interested parties in city/club and the NAYC Club Development Committee

 

  1. Establish Youth Board/Committee
  • A Youth Board/Committee must have a minimum of 3 adults who are not involved in an administrative or coaching role with an adult club. 
  • The established Youth Board/Committee members’ names and contact information (email, telephone) must be submitted to the NAYC Secretary at secretarybng.usa@gaa.ie

 

  1. Conference call with all members of the Youth Board/Committee and the NAYC Club Development Committee

 

  1. Establish Youth Board/Committee Bank Account

 

  1. Identify a minimum of 4 adults suitable as coaches

•             The coaches’ names and contact information (email, telephone) must be submitted to the NAYC Secretary at secretarybng.usa@gaa.ie

 

  1. Host a Foundation Level Coaching Course or identify coaches who have completed the Foundation Level Coaching Course

 

  1. Coaches who have successfully completed the Foundation Level Coaching Course must complete the Coaches Registration and Background Check at www.usyouthgaa.org

 

Note:    Clubs who have completed Phase I are eligible to participate in the NACB Hurling grant program whereby clubs receive a grant up to $400 for purchasing hurling equipment (Helmets and Hurls only).

 

 

Phase II - $1,000

 

  1. Register players.
    • Clubs must register a minimum of 13 players in one age group (U-8, U-10, etc.)

 

  1. Establish Facebook page which is updated regularly with club activity

 

  1. Host a minimum of 6 blitzes

 

  1. Establish a 3 year strategic plan for the Youth Club
    • The strategic plan should include five (5) goals and include who is responsible for achieving each goal and the timeline for completing each goal.
    • A copy of the strategic plan must be submitted to the NAYC Secretary at secretarybng.usa@gaa.ie

 

  1. Establish club logo
    • Youth clubs aligned with an adult club may use the same club logo.

 

 

Phase III - $500

 

 

  1. Establish a non-profit corporation and secure 501(c)3 status
    • Youth clubs aligned with an adult club may use the club 501(c)3 status
    • A copy of the Determination Letter received from the Internal Revenue Service must be submitted to the NAYC Secretary at secretarybng.usa@gaa.ie

 

  1. Host a Cul Camp (minimum 3 days)

 

  1. Attend the Divisional Youth Committee Annual General Meeting (“AGM”)

 

  1. Establish a club website
    • Youth clubs aligned with an adult club may use the club website

 

 

Phase IV - $500

 

 

  1. Establish an annual schedule of games, meetings, etc

 

  1. Attend the North American Youth Committee Annual General Meeting (“AGM”)

 

  1. Attend the Continental youth Championships
